What We Do
We are a team of health care professionals that have made it our mission to help Albertans overcome obesity and maintain an enduring plan for ongoing personal success in your journey with weight management.
Obesity is multi-dimensional and individual to each and every person that is suffering from it. In recognition of this understanding, our aim is to provide a person-centred care approach in order to determine and meet your weight management goals. With a shared decision-making practice, we intend to promote life-long sustainability in your personal journey with weight by embarking on goals that are meaningful, attainable, and ultimately, enjoyable for you.
How It Works

Lifestyle Interventions
Your days are filled with tasks and formed behaviours to manage these tasks. Let's explore your relationship to food, activity, stress and sleep. Let's find ways to build on your good habits and gradually remove the ones that are not helping you reach your goals.

Mental Health Care
Obesity, being a chronic disease is often tied with underlying anxiety and depression and sometimes other less common conditions. Let's work together to identify and work through mental health barriers to allow for your personal success.

Pharmacotherapy
Anti-obesity medication therapy is perhaps one of the most exciting ongoing advancements in our field today. Our experienced physicians will go over options that may best be suitable for you.

Bariatric Surgery
Surgery is an option for a select group of patients. We work closely with our bariatric surgery colleagues to take care of your needs. Our team will walk you through this process and manage your care before and after your surgery is completed.
Benefits
For residents of Alberta, all physician consultations are entirely covered by the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP).
Expect to be seen by one of our obesity medicine physicians within 3-4 weeks.
Frequency of followups will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Most of our patients are seen twice per month.
Currently, we are seeing patients in-person in Edmonton, Red Deer, and Calgary with virtual consults available for all residents of Alberta.
